Inventory Metric Definitions & Calculations

The Inventory universe contains daily item inventory level information at a point in time. It is not a “live” feed and is only updated once each day. The data is  NOT store or customer level inventory information; it is the quantity of product on hand at each of McKesson’s distribution centers. This universe contains the following metrics:

  • Quantity on Hand – Minimum – Minimum amount from any of the day(s) selected
  • Quantity on Hand – Maximum – Maximum amount from any of the day(s) selected
  • Quantity on Hand – Average – Average of the day(s) selected
  • Quantity on Hand – Daily Average – Daily Average of the day(s) selected
  • Quantity on Hand – First – Value from the FIRST day of the period selected
  • Quantity on Hand – Last – Value from the LAST day of the period selected

Each of the options above are also available in “Eaches” which are in Retail Selling Units.
